Geoffrey Carliner, Ph.D.
Geoffrey Carliner, Ph.D. has served as an economic consultant on international trade, intellectual property rights, antitrust, and international taxation to U.S. and foreign multinational corporations in aerospace, banking, chemicals, computers, mining, papermaking, pharmaceuticals, retailing, software, steel, and telecommunications. Dr. Carliner has also served as staff director and senior staff economist at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, executive director of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and deputy director of the Institute of International Economics. Dr. Carliner has taught at Babson College, Boston University, University of California, Berkeley, Oberlin College, Tufts University, and the University of Western Ontario. He has written numerous articles on a wide variety of economic topics. He is currently executive director of the Boston Committee on Foreign Relations and a member of the executive committee of the Boston Economic Club. Dr. Carliner received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his AB from Harvard University. |
